Guaranteed
Quality of Service (QoS) in Wide Area Networks
Faculty:
Graduate Students:
Motivation:
The objective of this project is to study the new
proposed architectures that aim at providing QoS in Wide Area IP Networks. These
approaches include:
- Differentiated Services
- MPLS
- Common Open Policy Services (COPS)
The ultimate goal is to provide "Guaranteed
QoS" in IP WANs even in the existance of mix of traffic such as Voice over IP
(VoIP) and data, while utilizing the network resources efficiently.
